I have been working in podcasting since 2007, producing and managing three established series at the Royal Veterinary College (RVC): the RVC Research Podcast, the RVC Clinical Podcast, and the Veterinary Nurse Podcast (Evidence-Based Practice). These podcasts reach a global audience and play an important role in sharing research, supporting professional practice, and engaging the wider veterinary community.

My role covers the full production process, from planning and recording through to editing and distribution. I work closely with academics, clinicians, and subject experts to shape each episode, ensuring the content is clear, engaging, and accessible to a diverse audience. With a strong background in audio production, I maintain a consistent, high-quality standard across all outputs, balancing technical precision with effective storytelling.

During the pandemic, I successfully transitioned all podcast production to remote workflows, developing reliable online recording setups and processes that allowed content creation to continue without interruption. This also enabled greater flexibility in working with contributors internationally, expanding both the reach and scope of the podcasts.

Through this work, I have developed a strong understanding of audience engagement and content design. Each podcast serves a distinct purpose, whether communicating research, supporting clinical practice, or promoting evidence-based approaches in veterinary nursing. My focus is always on delivering content that is both informative and accessible, supporting learning and professional development.

Podcasting forms an important part of my wider work in digital learning and media production, and I continue to explore new approaches and technologies to enhance quality, accessibility, and reach.
